Fifteen Cornwall

Fifteen Cornwall, opened in 2006 showcasing the best seasonal and local produce. But Fifteen was more than just a restaurant – it turned disadvantaged kids into the chefs of the future. After ten years of success the popular seaside venue was due a refresh. Designers, Felt, took their cues from the head chef’s informal cooking style and the surrounding coastline to design flexible and inviting spaces that connect the interior spaces with the beach beyond.

Felt Branding

Coexpertise:

Felt approached us with their concept to modernise the restaurant, replacing the outdated chrome, carpet and mock suede elements of the original design to create a more open and natural feel. We had to move quickly as the entire refurbishment was to be carried out over the restaurant’s two-week winter shutdown. We worked with &Tradition, a Danish design company that marries tradition with innovation, to source options that would bring the warmth and tactile feel the designers wanted and could be delivered within the tight timeframe. The pieces – oak chairs and sofas with a Nordic aesthetic – echo the timber cladding to the kitchen and complement the natural-coloured upholstery.
